Terms of Service

Effective September 17, 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and Hancock Design LLC, doing business as Slope, covering your use of Slope at useslope.app. By creating an account you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a company, you confirm you have authority to bind it.

Your account

You need a valid email address and must be at least 16. Keep your credentials secure — you are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access. We recommend enabling two-factor authentication.

Workspaces and roles

Content lives in a workspace. The workspace owner controls membership, roles and billing, and can see and manage everything in it. Admins can manage members and content; members can create and edit work; viewers can only read. If you join a workspace created by your employer or client, they control that workspace and its data, including the ability to remove your access or delete the content.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you put into Slope. You grant us only the licence needed to host, process, back up and display it in order to run the service — including sending activity digests to our automated summary provider as described in the Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having the rights to the content you upload.

Acceptable use

Don't use Slope to break the law, infringe others' rights, store malware, attack or probe our systems or other users' data, scrape at a scale that degrades the service, or resell it as your own product. We may suspend accounts that do.

Plans and billing

Workspaces of up to three billable members are free. Beyond that the Team plan is $10 per seat per month, or $100 per seat per year, billed through Stripe; the first three seats remain free and viewers are never billed. A seat is any accepted member with the owner, admin or member role. Adding people mid-cycle adjusts your subscription automatically. There is no trial.

Fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. Cancel any time from the billing portal; your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then the workspace returns to the free limits. We will give at least 30 days' notice by email before any price increase.

Availability

We work to keep Slope available and safe, but we offer it “as is” without warranties of any kind, and we don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may change or discontinue features; if we discontinue the service entirely we will give reasonable notice and an opportunity to export your data.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, neither party is liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Ending the agreement

You can stop using Slope and delete your account at any time from Settings → Account. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms or creates risk for other users, with notice where practical. Deleting your account is permanent — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what is removed and what stays with a shared workspace.

Changes

We may update these terms. For material changes we will update the effective date and notify account holders by email. If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of New York, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts there have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes.
